Scaling a pan-NHS automation programme across North London
North London Partners Shared Services (NLPSS) delivers NHS corporate services across seven NHS trusts. Starting with a handful of individual automation processes and growing to 147 live automations, our team provided the consultancy, process standardisation, and managed service infrastructure to run a fully operational programme spanning recruitment, employment services, and medical workforce teams.
By combining automation with governance tooling, a Change Advisory Board, and continuous improvement loops, the programme moved from ad hoc automation to an operationalised managed service. The impact goes beyond time saved: unit processing costs fell from £31 to £17 per hour, accuracy improved, and services absorbed growing demand without additional headcount.
