Delivering on the cancer waits standards remains a priority within the NHS. TCST has developed a training package in collaboration with London Cancer Alliances which is being delivered to staff across the city in 2023. So far this year, we’ve delivered the training to over 420 colleagues across the NHS in London.
The training sessions are aimed at, but not limited to, multidisciplinary team coordinators, pathway navigators, service managers, clinicians and cancer alliance colleagues in London.

Following the most recent round of training in April, 98% of colleagues who completed the evaluation said that the overall training session was helpful to their role and the delivery was clear and well presented. Specific comments were that the session style was informative, interactive and well delivered.

Out of 43 responses, 96% of colleagues said that they would be very likely/likely to recommend the training session to a friend or co-worker and 93% of colleagues said that they would be either likely or very likely to attend another one of our training sessions in the future.

Two additional dates have been added to the existing July and October 2023 cohort of the Cancer Waits and Best Practice Timed Pathway training programme: 4 and 13 July, and 3 and 18 October 2023.
