As we approach the end of the year, it’s an ideal opportunity to reflect on the success of our cancer waits guidance training in 2023 and the feedback we’ve received from participants.
This year, we delivered training to over 700 colleagues from across London. The value of the training is evident in the extremely positive evaluation feedback we’ve received so far, particularly in relation to the informative and interactive style of the training sessions.
We’ve received 48 evaluation responses from the October 2023 training sessions, with 96% of attendees stating that the training session was helpful to their role. 98% stated that the training delivery was clear and well presented, with the same number saying that they would be very likely/somewhat likely to recommend the training session to a friend or colleague. 100% of attendees said that they would be very likely/somewhat likely to attend another one of our training sessions in the future.
Cancer waits will continue to be a priority for the NHS, and we’ll be continuing to support the accessible standardisation of cancer waits training across the London region, in partnership with London Cancer Alliances. We’ve already scheduled training dates for next year – the next sessions are scheduled for the 17 January and 1 February 2024.
The training is aimed at, but not limited to, multidisciplinary team coordinators, pathway navigators, service managers, clinicians, and cancer alliance colleagues across London.
