Managing Director
Welcome
It’s been an exciting time at TPHC. I am thrilled to launch our first-ever TPHC Annual Impact Report which showcases the breadth of the work we are doing across London and the NHS. The report demonstrates our proven track record in guiding organisations through complex challenges and working in partnership to overcome them.
We know that this edition of Insight will be reaching you hot on the heels of the 2024 general election. Our new government has already indicated three big strategic shifts in NHS priorities; moving more care out of hospitals into primary care and community services; better use of technology and data; and boosting prevention by supporting people to stay well, reducing health inequalities and helping people stay in work. These priorities are what TPHC do best, and we are excited about helping you to meet them.
Last month we exhibited for the first time at NHS ConfedExpo and listened to and connected with many NHS leaders and influencers. We’ve also been celebrating both the 76th birthday of the NHS and Pride in London with our staff and our partners.
Happy birthday, NHS!

After Action Reviews as a continuous quality and patient safety improvement tool

The new Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIFR) was launched to support the development of an effective patient safety incident response system in the NHS. The PSIRF is a framework for learning and improvement and endorses After Action Review (AAR) as a learning method to inform and improve patient safety incident response.
In this blog, Alkmini Petraki, who heads up TPHC’s AAR team, reflects on the value of AAR as a tool for all members of the team to take a personal stake in continuous improvement, looking at past experience to inform future action and solutions.
Helping you get the most out of your stakeholder engagement

Within the NHS we’re all familiar with the legal duty to engage our stakeholders but having the time, resources and the right skills to do an effective job can be a challenge. In this blog, TPHC specialists explain the nuts and bolts of stakeholder engagement and draw on examples from our own track record of leading a broad range of stakeholder engagement projects, as well as training to other staff to develop the skills themselves.
Keep reading the blog here to find out how we are helping customers to reach the stakeholders they need to hear and learn from.
Celebrating Pride month

This year, the theme for Pride in London was #WeAreEverywhere and shone a light on the presence of London’s LGBTQ+ community, and the power they have to be drivers of change by living authentically and without apology.
We have shared a roundup of resources and content from some of our pan-London health transformation programmes, including Good Thinking, Thrive LDN, and Fast-Track Cities London who partnered with Positively UK to take part in this year’s Pride in London parade.
These resources can be shared with your organisations and communities, helping to encourage all Londoners to look prioritise their mental and physical health all year round.
