Welcome
AWelcome to edition 5 of Insight. Also our final edition of 2024.
As we enter the final weeks of the year, we’re taking stock of the past 12 months and all that has happened in the health and care system. This year saw a change in Government and the new Health Secretary commissioned a review into the NHS in England, led by Lord Ara Darzi. The Health Secretary called for three strategic shifts for the NHS; from hospital to community, analogue to digital, treatment to prevention, and we await a new 10-year plan for health and care in 2025. This plan will mark a new chapter for the NHS, and a continuation of the great work already happening within, and led by, the NHS.
Despite the challenges, 2024 has also presented TPHC with opportunities to innovate and build resilience. We remain on call to support our customers and partners, one transformative step at a time.
In this edition, we are sharing a look back of the year, plus new content including the next instalment of the Darzi Diagnosis blog series, and a blog about the evolution of online metrics in healthcare campaigns and communications evaluations.
To sign off, I thank colleagues in the NHS and across the health and care sector who have worked tirelessly this year. And to my talented team at TPHC who have delivered some incredible work across the system this year.
If you celebrate, merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah. And to all, I wish you a restful end of the year and quality time with your loved ones. See you in 2025.

Embedding change to drive forward a digitally mature NHS
TPHC digital and analytics Consultant, Myuran Kuhachandran, discusses how embedding change management is key to building a digitally mature NHS, helping organisations to meet Lord Darzi’s call for a tilt towards digital.
Tackling children and young people’s mental health waiting times
The latest blog in the series explores the surge in mental health needs for children and young people. It draws on Lord Darzi’s emphasis on bringing down mental health waiting times, and the role of prevention through enhanced provision in the community.
The evolution of online metrics in health campaigns and communications evaluations
Adam Usher, Digital Communications Manager at TPHC, has shared a helpful blog exploring the evolution of online metrics in healthcare campaigns and communications.
Metrics offer valuable insights into audience behaviour, message effectiveness, and campaign performance. Adam explains why, when evaluating your content, it is important to consider the bigger picture, informed by a range of metrics and not just those with the highest figures.
