Welcome
Welcome to our spring edition of Insight. Reflecting on the past few months, I have been thinking a lot about the energy that comes from simply getting the right people in one room.
In February, our team facilitated the Million Hearts and Minds CVD Prevention Summit. 150 colleagues came together with a powerful collective ambition to help every Londoner live a longer and healthier life.
During Race Equality Week, we officially launched our anti-racism statement. This is more than a document. It is a commitment to ensuring that everyone we work with feels safe and valued.
As part of this launch, we held an internal lunch and learn session for our team to share their own impactful resources. The fact that so many staff turned out in force and actively engaged in the session brings me back to the power of a collective of passionate people in the same space.
This newsletter shares that spirit of action, and I hope you find something in these stories that sparks a new idea for your own work.
Taking action to prevent cardiovascular disease

We facilitated the Million Hearts and Minds Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Prevention Summit in February. Hosted by Professor Kevin Fenton, the event brought together over 120 colleagues with the aim of making a step change in Londoners’ heart and circulatory health. The day included several workshops and a panel discussion.
24 people at the summit made pledges to demonstrate their personal and professional commitment to improving heart health.
Helping maternity services achieve anti-racist standards

We supported the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) to achieve the bronze award through our anti-racism framework. This tool, co-created by TPHC in partnership with the NHS England London Region’s CapitalMidwife team, sets out a structured, evidence-based approach for maternity services to become actively anti-racist..
New report explores the links between racism and mental health

Commissioned by London Anti-Racism Collaboration for Health (LARCH) and Thrive LDN, the ‘Shifting Power’ report highlights that racism is a daily stressor that harms mental health throughout every stage of life. It provides vital context for health inequality work.
Connecting digital innovation with clinical practice

Our latest article for Open Access Government explains how our Digital Productivity team is bridging the gap between innovative technology and the unique requirements of the NHS. It focuses on how we use automation to free staff from repetitive processes, allowing them to focus on other high-impact activities.
Assessing the safe use of AI in qualitative research

We have launched a new blog series in partnership with the Institute of Public Care at Oxford Brookes University (IPC). The first post explores how to use AI safely and thoughtfully within qualitative research projects.
Our commitment to building an equitable environment

To mark Race Equality Week 2026, we launched the TPHC anti-racism statement. This is a public commitment to dismantling racial barriers and building a safe, equitable environment for our staff, clients and partners, and the communities they serve.
Impact and highlights from Great Mental Health Day 2026

Great Mental Health Day (GMHD) returned for its fifth year on 30 January 2026, with the aim of getting Londoners talking, tackling stigma and celebrating the incredible support that exists in our communities.
We reached over 14,000 Londoners through webinars, campaign emails and the GMHD digital hub.
450 people attended a GMHD zero suicide awareness training.
Implementing better weight management support

To mark World Obesity Day, our Senior Consultant, Simon Landergan, wrote about our work in London to establish effective weight management pathways. The blog outlines practical steps for implementing these services.
Achieving the highest standard in data security

We are proud to announce that we have achieved Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. This is the highest level of certification under the scheme and confirms our commitment and dedication to data security. It ensures that the information we manage for our partners remains protected.
Developing future leaders through our partnership

As an NHS consultancy, our people are central to everything we do, and our long‑standing partnership with On Purpose London reflects the importance of programmes like this in developing future leaders. The latest cohort, ending in April, included Becky, who joined TPHC for a 6-month placement and thoroughly enjoyed her time with us.
