Event overview
Out of Area (OOA) placements remain one of the most pressing challenges facing mental health providers nationwide. This event, hosted by Transformation Partners in Health and Care (TPHC), brings together colleagues and experts to share learning, practical examples, and tools that can help NHS trusts to reduce reliance on OOA placements, and improve outcomes for service users.
During the session, attendees will gain valuable insights including:
- the impact of OOA placements nationally
- case studies and learnings that demonstrate how mental health provider colleagues have achieved a reduction in OOA placements
- practical tools and approaches that can help trusts to reduce OOA placements
This event is intended to provide a space for shared learning and collaboration across the mental health system, and to inspire action to improve patient care and bring people closer to home.
