Children and young people’s team work with STPs commissioning leaders to develop approach to urgent and emergency care to support development of their Long Term Plan work.
The children and young people’s team secured funding from Health Education England to run a system wide urgent and emergency care physical and mental health leadership development programme across the capital working with the 5 Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STP).
The work was commissioned from J9 Consulting to deliver the leadership programme. Each STP was offered three workshops which were run with the system leaders within each area to co-produce local work programmes, this included development of driver diagrams which will be used to take the work forward and in their local responses to the NHS Long term Plan. Here you will find the final report and output.
Healthy Teen Minds were commissioned to deliver a series of We Can Talk workshops to increase the awareness and promote the adoption of the We Can Talk project across London by offering a half-day workshop to each STP area. These workshops were co-delivered by members of the We Can Talk team including young advisors with experience of presenting to hospital due to their mental health. The report can be found here.
The work culminated in a shared learning event on 26 June. The presentations included a market style sharing of work from across the STP’s, CYP mental health workforce strategy, multi-professional working and developing CYP health hubs, primary care networks and integrated approach, paediatric ambulatory hospital at home, managing CYP with complex needs and a session from the new North and South Paediatric Networks.
