Rapid Diagnostic Centre (for non-specific symptoms)
GPs should consider referring patients whose symptoms and signs may be due to cancer, but the tumour site is not clear, to the Non-Specific Symptom Pathway managed by your local Rapid Diagnostic Centre (RDC). A Site Specific Pathway remains appropriate if there is GP concern, but the tumour site of origin seems clear, even if the clinical presentation falls outside of NG12 criteria. A list of Non-Specific Symptom Services (NSS) is provided below. Please note that as services evolve this list may change. Please contact your GP Cancer Lead or Trust NSS Service for advice if needed.
