LARCH Launch Event

LARCH hosted a launch event on 21 November 2023 at London City Hall.

Presentations included:

• Collaborating with communities: Jabeer Butt, Race Equality Foundation
• Anti-racism journeys: panel discussion
• Our vision for anti-racism and health in London and supporting change and action: table discussions
• Case studies from across the London region

Speakers included:

• Caroline Clarke, Regional Director for the NHS in London
• Sir Michael Marmot, Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at University College London, Director of The UCL Institute of Health Equity.
• Marie Gabriel, Chair of NEL ICS and Member of London Health Board, Chair of the NHS Race and Health Observatory.
• Prof Kevin Fenton, Director, Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (London), Regional Director of Public Health, NHS London, Statutory Health Advisor to the Mayor of London, GLA and London Assembly.

Attendees had the opportunity to network and visit a designated marketplace, showcasing projects from across the London region that have demonstrated a commitment to tackle ethnic health inequalities. Find out more about each of the projects below.
